Grapheal
Teacher of Angels
The Mightest. The very First Arch Angel. The eldest, and the Teacher.
Most trusted among the Arch's, he was given the task of teaching the newly created Angels,
after Wirual decided which souls had earned the honor of becoming one.
Grapheal lived on the endless fields of Alasse Cir, (Paradise.)
Grapheal was so busy in his mentorship duties, that he did not take up Guardianship of any mortals.
He encouraged Wirual, and Tie'iel to become Guardians to Ellearn and humans through the centuries,
but he, himself remained without, single-minded in his teaching of the young angels.
Grapheal fell in love with the Arch Angel Wirual, and they were considered mates.
Wirual would fall from grace in the year 3359 CE, however, Grapheal never found out the true reason for the fall.
Grapheal however blamed Wirual's lusts for mortals, having caught him sleeping with
The King, and Queen of Reinn Anon's Mortal Empire. He believes Wirual slept with many others as well.
Grapheal never forgave Wirual for his folly, and falling from grace.
Grapheal was told about a sickly mortal boy who watched his angels train, as those of Ellearn blood
came to Alasse Cir when they slept. He realized that this boy was the Great Grandson of the
Royal couple Wirual fell from grace for. Intrigued he asked to be Nathanael's Guardian when the boy was 10.
Instructed, however, by Reinn to not interfere in the boy's destiny, Grapheal did not understand but obeyed.
Nathan's mind shattered when the boy was 13, and Grapheal painstakingly repaired it with his own hands.
Grapheal came to adore the boy child for Nathan's altruistic, and forgiving ways.
The Arch Angel would defend Nathanael, allowing himself to be summoned in combat.
Grapheal would learn why Wirual fell from grace, for the love of the two Royal mortals,
and his heart would be troubled still by his mate's willingness to disobey their Lord. Yet, Grapheal
when Nathanael dies a premature death gives up his very existence to save the boy.
Nathanael is resurrected from beyond the grave by the Arch Angel who begins to understand
what torment it is to the heart, in loving a mortal. Forsaking Reinn's light and paradise Grapheal falls
from grace and allows himself to die to save Nathanael's life.
This act will only give the Boy-King another three years to live in exchange
for Grapheal's own endless time. As the Eldest Arch dies to allow the boy to live,
he hears Nathanael pleading, not wishing the Arch Angel to leave him.
Grapheal hearing these cries knows what he wants most in his own heart.
He wishes to forgive Wirual; at last, truly, understanding,
that the truest form of love that can be shown by a Guardian,
Is in Sacrifice.
