Sjel'Nnharma

'Judge of Souls, 'Stone Faced', Lord of Mortality, 'He who was Buried Alive.'

Sjel.jpg

'The Mortal's God'
The last of the Divine, he who was once Man.
Sjel resides inside the 'Halls of the Buried', the planet's Outer Core.
He is known to be affiliated with funerals, burials, mortality, death, rebirth and stone.
Less known affiliations are confinement, begrudging acceptance, and murder.

True Neutral
The ‘Stone Faced God’, Sjel Nn'harma is seen by many as the merciless Lord of the Dead,
he who was once a human, betrayed by his fellows, and buried alive. The very first mortal
to die. The God of Death came into being from his own demise, and Sjel cursed his fellows
as he died, becoming the personification of Death upon the Heart World (Cor'terrae).

“I am leaving here, and I know not where I go; only when you to doth die will you see me again.
But because those I loved, killed me, all journeys to my side will be difficult, and when you lastly attain me, I will judge you harshly.
Who so-ever desires death must meet me, and of those who seek life, they must pass through me in a cycle that will never end.”

Sjel weighs the metaphorical Heart of the deceased over his cupped hands,
determining the worthiness by weighing the virtue of Love against their vices.
The weighing decides what next stage of the afterlife will be chosen for each individual.
A heart too steeped, (in greed, lust, envy, wrath etc,) will be unable to float, and will sink
into the God of Death’s hands. Such individuals will then be sent to that vice’s level of hell.
A heart that died honorably will lift high, floating upwards to paradise, for both Ellearn, and man.
This weighing of Love, and vices also decides how long an individual must wait in the 'Halls of the Buried,' before rebirth.
Those whose heart is filled with the greatest love are often prone to quicker rebirth in the case of both Ellearn and men.

An Oynx throne was built for he, ‘Who had been Buried,’ and the mortal was bound,
and shackled so that no other must take up Sjel Nn’harma’s mantle, beneath the crust.
Chained, restricted and, ‘Buried-Alive,’ The God of Death fused with the hellish throne.
The Hall’s twisting passages, and arching halls became the flesh of this once human being,
trapped within himself,  forced to listen to the misery, and horrors of the recently dead.
Humanity seeping away, 'Stone Faced,' is robbed of sleep, movement, and friendship.
The Land of the Dead is the dust, dirt and migrating souls that conceals, and protects,
the core; 'Heart of the World,’ The Dreamer- Corchorum
.

Sjel's mind has gathered the strength to escape his confinement four times, where he has entered the mind of an Ellearn in the Quele bloodline. These Prophets/ess', have had the power to change the fate of the world.

The priests of Sjel Nn'harma work closely with the dead, and those close to
dying. Because of this, people have pre-conceived notions of Sjel's priests being necromancers.
This is incorrect, as with their studies into, and understandings of both death, and the dying, many become Death Dwellers.
Sjel's main temple is in the Menel swamp, far removed from most human societies because of preconceptions.
Sjel Nn'harma is the patron God of the Myr'ael, a misunderstood subtype of Ellearn who worship
the afterlife, death, and shadow.

Arch Angels/High Guardians

Arch Angels are created by the Gods. Reinn Anon created Arch Angels to serve each of his siblings.
This is Sjel Nn'harma's High Guardian.
